Tasting notes on Chateau Nairac
- Sauternes Barsac |
1997 Nairac - Sauternes
Barsac, Bordeaux,
France
1997 Chateau Nairac (Barsac) - 2ème Cru Classé
Pretty dark gold colour. A lot of
botrytis, crystallized fruits, oranges. Very
fresh, well
balanced
body and a pretty long
aftertaste. A very nice 1997 Nairac to enjoy all throughout this decade 2005 - 2015. 90/100

2004 Nairac - Sauternes
Barsac, Bordeaux,
France
Elegant, classic bouquet with hints of dried apricot and
botrytis. Extremely pure and well-focused on the palate.
Concentrated, but in no way heavy. Subtle texture and beautiful
freshness. There is a fascinating mineral side to this wine that
carries all the way through to the long, well-balanced aftertaste. A
very beautiful wine.
