Tasting notes on Chateau Monbrison - Margaux

> 1996 Chateau Monbrison, Margaux, Bordeaux, France

1996 Monbrison: The hue is purple and young. Fruity nose - currant, wood, vanilla. Unfortunately this wine doesn't give much in mouth. Dry tannins, austere and imbalanced. Difficult to say if this wine currently shows bad because it's in the middle of an evolution phase or if the problem is more serious. Should be tasted again within a few months. At this stage, I don't rate it more than 82/100.
