tasting June 2001.
Ruby with an orange fringe. Scents of coffee, candied fruit (cherry), caramel. Very
forward mouth, roasted fruits with a long
finish. Grand Puy Lacoste was one of the most enjoyable wines of the evening together with
Ducru-Beaucaillou. 88/100

1990 Grand Puy Lacoste, Pauillac,
Bordeaux, France
1990 Grand Puy Lacoste : very
deep ruby colour. Intense
nose dominated by
floral notes. Impressive
structure with lots of tannins, very
powerful. Not the most
elegant wine at this point, but has a huge potential for the next 10 years or more.
92/100.
