1999 Duhart Milon : light
red - rubis colour. Funky
nose dominated by an smell of wet old barrel (?). In mouth,
1999 Duhart Milon isn't very appealing, showing dry tannins and
greenish
tannins, little fruit and a rather
thin
body. 82/100

2001 Duhart-Milon - Pauillac,
Bordeaux, France
2007 April - Purple in coloration. Doesn't give much away in the
nose, wood juice and some small cherry fruit - and that’s about it.
Angular on the palate. The texture seems diluted and the flavours
are overwhelmed by a bizarre bitterness. The fruit of 2001 Duhart
Milon is finally perceptible on the midpalate but the finish falls
quickly flat. The less appealing wine of the flight. |

2002 Duhart Milon : is dark purple in color. Charming
nose of
raspberries, blackberries currant and black chocolate.
Briary and
some lead pencil. The initial
palate of 2002 Duhart Milon is
pleasant,
round and
fruity with some savoriness. A bit
hollow on the
mid-palate. Diffuse and shortish finish. Some
bitterness at the end.

2003 Duhart Milon : has torrefied wood,
vanilla and red fruits on
the
nose. Beautiful dense and
round mouth
balanced
with silky tannins.
Good persistence on nice
ripe fruit. Maybe a little lack of
freshness, but finally isn't this the trademark of this canicular
year? A "sexy" Duhart-Milon that is drinking today with so much
pleasure. 89/100 |
