The
vineyard of the Côtes de Bourg is located approximately 30 km North of the town of Bordeaux.
Cotes de Bourg is extends over 15 communes surrounding the village of Bourg-sur-Gironde. The
Cotes de Bourg soil is very well diversified with a mixture of broken argile, limestones and sandy grounds. The region
Cotes de Bourg enjoys a dry and moderate microclimate.

In their youth, the Côtes de Bourg are often characterized by flavours of red fruits and spices.
Their robust but
elegant
structure is the result of a high proportion of
Merlot within the
blending. The wines of the appellation
Cotes de Bourg may be appreciated at a young age for their charming fruit and the
balance of their
body. But many
Cotes de Bourg growers produce wines which have fine ageing aptitudes. The Bourgeais appellation regroups about 500 producers, out of which 1/3 are affiliated with one of the four local co-operatives units.
